For Dharma The Teacher in You and the Student in Me

This is the Teacher
Who is the helper of all who come to thee
Who is the encourager of the learner
This is the one who can answer
The never ending questions of the student

The Student in me is the one
Who is always learning and is always helping
The student is always there
Silently listening and learning from the teacher
For this student in me will move on but will always come back for more

This teacher is the one who tells me to read
Encourages me to learn and helps me when I need something
This is the teacher that can be seen
As a caring helper, an understanding friend, and a guide
And that teacher will always be remembered
As the one who opened up the doors to the world for me
