
Dharma Yoga Center Studio Policies & Guidelines
Welcome to Dharma Yoga Center! We are honored to support your practice and well-being. To maintain a respectful, safe, and enriching environment for everyone, please review and follow the guidelines below.
1. General Etiquette & Studio Culture

Arrive Early: Arrive 10–15 minutes before class to allow time for check-in, setup, and grounding. Late arrivals may not be permitted.

Practice Presence: Silence phones and personal devices before entering the Center. Keep talking to a minimum in practice areas.

Respect Our Sacred Space: Remove shoes upon entry and store belongings in designated areas. Keep the Center clean and uncluttered.

Hygiene & Scents: Come to class clean, with bare feet, and avoid wearing perfumes, essential oils, or heavily scented products.

Noise & Disruptions: Maintain a quiet, mindful atmosphere. Leaving class early (especially during final rest) is discouraged unless it's an emergency.
2. Practice Guidelines

Health & Safety:

Consult your doctor before beginning any new fitness program, especially if you have health conditions.

Notify instructors of injuries, medical conditions, or pregnancy before class begins.

Medications: Do not attend class under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, or prescribed medication that impairs your judgment.
3. Class Reservations, Cancellations & Lateness

We encourage preregistration through our website or the Momence app. Walk-ins are not guaranteed.

Class Purchases Are Non-Refundable
All single class and class pack purchases are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason.

You may cancel a reserved class up to 2 hours before the start time without penalty. The class credit will be returned to your account for future use.

Late Cancellations: If you cancel within 2 hours of the class start time, it is considered a late cancellation, and the class credit will be forfeited.

No-Shows: If you do not attend a class you reserved and do not cancel in time, your credit will be forfeited.

For 60-minute classes: no entry after 10 minutes.

For longer classes: no entry after 15 minutes.​

4. Studio Use & Equipment
-
Props: Mats, wheels, blocks, blankets, straps, and bolsters are available. Mat rentals are $2, towels $1. Please wipe down mats after use.

Mat Storage: Offered to active students, based on availability.

5. Class Packs & Refunds
-
Class Packs:
-
Non-refundable, non-transferable, no extensions.
-
Expired packs can be reactivated for $5 per unused class.
-
One User Per Pack. Class packs are valid only for the individual who holds the pack on their account. Sharing class credits with others is not permitted.​

New Student Specials: For first-time students only.

Refunds:

All sales are final.
-
Refunds issued only in case of studio error.

Exchanges for credit may be offered at the studio’s discretion.

6. Workshops, Special Events & Private Sessions

Workshop Cancellation Policy:
-
​You must cancel at least 24 hours in advance to receive a credit for a future workshop.
-
Any cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop start time are considered late and the credit will be forfeited.

Workshop Refunds
Workshop purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable, but credit can be applied if cancelled 24+ hours in advance.

Private Sessions: Book in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to full fee.

7. Children & Teen Participation

Age Limits:

Regular classes are open to students 16+.
-
Teens aged 13–15 may participate if accompanied by a parent/guardian who also takes the class.

Consent & Conduct:

Parent must sign a consent form and supervise minors at all times.
-
Children are not permitted in the Center or reception unattended.

8. Streaming Classes

Links will be emailed before class—please check your spam/junk folder.

Ensure your video and audio settings are functional prior to the start of the class. We recommend logging in a bit early to double check.
9. Recordings, Photos & Media
​

Classes will be livestreamed and recorded for on-demand content.
-
By signing the waiver, you consent to being recorded or photographed during class for studio use.
-
Personal photos/videos may be taken before/after class with others’ consent. No recording during class.
10. Code of Conduct & Respect
​

Dharma Yoga is an inclusive space welcoming all backgrounds and identities.
-
All students must adhere to principles of respect, cleanliness, and non-disruption.
-
We reserve the right to refuse service or revoke membership from anyone violating studio policies or creating a disruptive environment.
